Dressing Appropriately
Here are some tips on how to dress if you are a guest on CSIS & Friends. They are listed in order of importance, so keep that in mind.

-
DO NOT WEAR BLUE! Our videos are shot against a blue chroma-key backdrop, so anything that's blue will disappear after editing.
- Don't wear shirts or anything else that have words or text on them, including large logos. Not only do they become blurry, but they can be distracting to the viewer, also.
- Avoid overly complex patterns and prints, as well as bold, high-contrast stripes. They tend to blur out on video. Subtle stripes or pin-striping should be okay, though.
- Avoid pure white or black, as it will make you look pale/dark from the contrast, and can even cause a "halo" effect around you on the video.
- Don't worry too much! This isn't a national television broadcast! "Business casual" is about the most formal we'd want; just make sure you are dressed appropriately professional. Also keep in mind that you may be representing/reflecting your group or organization, which is another important factor.
