


Students will prepare cables to connect PC’s and build simple peer-to-peer networks, establish PC settings and file sharing capabilities, configure cable modems and download games to be played during the morning session. The afternoon session will be devoted to playing games on the network built in the morning session.
The Hero Machine allows you to create custom portraits for the characters you’ve always imagined. Whether you’re creating an image to be used as part of a pen & paper or computer based role-playing game (RPG), to visualize characters for a story you’re writing, or just to print & color.
Web page images will be created in the morning session using HTML, graphics software and scanners (bring pictures you would like to put on your website). The afternoon session will be used to build the web page using components created in the morning session.
During the morning session students will learn how to use a digital camera and will take a variety of pictures throughout YSU campus settings. In the afternoon session, the students’ pictures will be downloaded to a computer and then enhanced using Graphics software. Images will be printed using a color laser printer.
Engineering Technology
For the first time, Engineering Technology are partnering with CSIS to give another dimension to the summer camp program. Specific topics will be determined soon.

Alice
Alice addresses both the mechanical and sociological barriers that currently prevent many students from successfully learning to program a computer. Alice makes learning to program easy. And it's fun.
Multimedia Technology and Gaming
Students will be exploring graphic creation and projects may include videography and game creation.
Robotics
Students will learn about building and controlling Lego robots.
