CSIS 824: Applied Artificial Intelligence

CSIS 4824: Applied Artificial Intelligence

The final exam isMonday at 8:00. It will cover:
Previous material (approximately 50%, mostly conceptual):
  • Components of expert systems and shells
  • Inference methods (forward and backward chaining)
  • Uncertainty and certainty factors
  • Probabilistic reasoning
  • Fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic
  • Paradigms and problems in robotic navigation
  • New material (approximately 50%):
  • Stages in expert system development
  • Choosing and questioning experts
  • Knowledge acquisition methods
  • Validation and verification of expert systems
  • Learing concepts
  • Perceptron learning
  • Back propagation (concepts, no formulas)
  • Note: If you did not turn in your final project code and/or writeup, do so during the final. If you did not get a chance to demonstrate your system, please talk to me about setting up a time next week.
